  • All PTO will be “Use it or Lose it”- the PTO will expire at the end of a year after it was granted.

  • Full-Time Leads and Directors will be granted two weeks of PTO. For those already in these roles, it will begin in January. For those after, it will begin during the month they are promoted to this role.

  • Full-Time Leads and Directors must wait 6 months from the time they are hired or after being promoted before being able to use this time.

  • Full-time employees who are not Leads or Directors will become eligible when they have averaged working over 30 hours per week after one year. It will be granted the month following the month a team member has worked for one year.

  • Full-time team members who have worked for BTC for one year and have worked 1,560 hours will be eligible for 3 days or 24 hours of PTO.

  • Full-time team members who have worked an average of 30+ hours per week for BTC for 3 years will be eligible for 5 days or 40 hours of PTO.

  • If PTO is being used for sick days or family needs, it should be requested as normal through Hot Schedules as soon as possible. If a team member is requesting to use PTO to recover sick time missed, this should be e-mailed to the restaurant as soon as possible to ensure it is paid on the correct paycheck.

  • After a team member has returned to work from a PTO vacation, they should e-mail the restaurant again to request their PTO hours to be applied to that paycheck.

  • Directors will be allowed to use four paid hours per quarter for a planning day.

  • The year in which it is earned can be used is based on the team member’s anniversary of their start date.

  • PTO can not be taken in December unless approved by the Operator 6 months in advance.

Have a financial hardship?

The Chick-fil-A Together Fund was created to help Team Members, Operators, and Staff who are facing financial hardship immediately after a natural disaster or an unforeseen personal hardship.

The Fund is made up of individual donations from Operators, Corporate Staff*, and other generous donors from the Chick-fil-A community.

Every contribution helps, and when combined with the donations of others, can provide a tax-free grant (USA) to help a fellow Team Member, Operator, or Staff* in need when they are facing the unexpected.
